Solid Compactors

PSS screw compactors are designed to dehydrate solids from sieves or other filtering devices. Its compact size and simplicity of operation make it an ideal equipment for applications where additional dehydration of previously separated solids is required. Easily attachable to static or rotary screens, transport screws or channel filters. Available in different diameters, lengths and powers according to each application.

Operation mode

The wet solids enter the first compartment of the equipment where they are forced to enter the pressure zone by the screw. The pressure zone consists of a cylindrical mesh where the solids are compacted by the screw. Water from dehydration passes through the mesh and is discharged through a drain hole. The dehydrated solids are poured into the discharge nozzle. The level of dehydration can be regulated with conveniently installed weights.
