The CFS filters were designed for primary treatment in open channels. These use a screw driven without shaft, to transport and compact the solids that have been captured in the submerged filter element. The CFSA model includes a stirring device to break organic solids.
Operation mode
The unit is installed at 35-45 ° above the effluent channel. The fluid enters the cylindrical surface of the filter where the solids are captured. These are moved by the spiral to the top, transporting them to an area where they are dehydrated by compaction. The liquid is discharged through the filter element and an intermittent spray of water, efficiently cleans small solids that may have clogged, releasing them to the channel. The solids are discharged at a content of approximately 40%.
