The Siwa self-cleaning parabolic filters of the SF series consist of a slotted curved static screen with openings ranging from 0.2 to 3 mm. The grooving is perpendicular to the fall of the fluid and the screen has a curvature that allows the fluid to pass through the grooves, and the solids slide down its upper face, or form small cylinders of solids that are discharged through the solid hopper. These sieves are recommended when the particles to be removed are easy to separate from the liquid or to slide on the filtering surface.
OPERATION MODE
The fluid to be filtered enters the distribution chamber where the turbulence keeps the solids in suspension. The flow is distributed homogeneously across the width of the sieve that has such a curvature (variable for each use) that it allows the liquid to pass through the openings to a drainage channel, while the solids are retained and displaced by the upper face of the filtering screen to the discharge lip.
