EKOSEP ® Band Filters are widely used to dehydrate sludge. Admission concentrations can range from 0.1 to 9% solids, depending on the model, in some cases leading to solids concentrations of 30% (only 70% humidity). We provide Belt Press Filters alone or combined with belt or drum thickeners. The range of feeding capacities goes from 2 to 190 m3/h of mud. The materials will be designated according to each application.

Operating Principle

It consists of draining the sludge between two endless belts under pressure. Initially the sludge is placed on the upper band where drainage by gravity occurs. From the point where the bands meet, the mud is transported between them. The bands move between rollers that cause compression on the mud. The use of rollers of different diameters allows increasing the pressure and changing the direction of the band, exerting a shearing effect.
